I’m Craig, a sports nutritionist who’s worked with youth, academy, and elite footballers. I created The Football Nutritionist to make fuelling your child simple, practical, and stress-free.

💬 My Story: From Pain to Purpose

I grew up playing football — and just about every other sport I could. From a young age, I was obsessed with finding any edge that could make me better.

That drive led me down a dangerous path of extreme dieting. I tried everything — keto, fasting, paleo — and eventually landed on a carb-free, low-fibre diet that I thought was “healthy.”

It wasn’t.

The result? Excruciating stomach pain that would drop me to the floor. I ended up in hospital needing surgery, and when I woke up, the doctor handed me a single piece of paper about the GI system and said,
“You might want to do some research.”

So I did.
That research turned into a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise & Nutrition, and later, an internationally recognised qualification in Applied Sports Nutrition.

Today, I’m accredited by the Sport Nutrition Association and Nutrition Society of Australia, and I’ve worked with players, parents, and teams across all levels of football — from grassroots to elite.

My mission now is simple:
To help others avoid the mistakes I made — and to help footballers fuel their bodies properly so they can perform, recover, and develop for the long term.
